Lowe’s Hometowns Event- Red Vest Day

Our Red Vest Day event in October was an incredible success, powered by the Lowe’s Hometowns grant and the dedication of more than 40 enthusiastic volunteers. Together, we revitalized the St. Albans facility with fresh paint, vibrant landscaping, and an updated exterior and gate, creating a welcoming environment for the children and staff alike. This transformation is a testament to the impact of community collaboration and the generosity of Lowe's.

Wells Fargo Foundation and Udonis Haslem Event

On September 17th, we partnered with Wells Fargo, “The Bank of Doing” to surprise a local mother and grandmother, Mable Henderson, with new kitchen appliances, fresh landscaping, and an outdoor living space. In addition to this, the Wells Fargo Foundation announced a grant of $1.2 million that will provide critical home repairs and safety modifications to 75 homes in 46 communities across the U.S. Ms. Henderson’s home is one of three we were able to make necessary repairs at as part of this grant. Three-time NBA Champion and Miami HEAT legend, Udonis Haslem was also among the volunteers working to give back to Ms. Henderson. She was moved to tears when she saw Udonis, and her new home. As an organization, we work to not only make homes safe and healthy spaces to live in, but also a place where families can enjoy their days.
